Is CoinX Legit? What coinx.gspteck.com Is, Who Runs It, and How It Differs from the Coinx Exchange (2026)
Is CoinX legit?
coinx.gspteck.com, the CoinX on this site, is the crypto projects hub of GSPTeck, giosaia's indie app studio. It presents two real Android apps on Google Play, CoinDrop and Swappr, and publishes educational guides. CoinX is not an exchange. It holds no balances, takes no deposits and promises no returns. If you were asked to send crypto to "CoinX", that request did not come from this site.
The name causes confusion because there is also a crypto exchange called Coinx in Indonesia, and the similarly named exchange CoinEx. This page sets out which is which, who runs this site, what each app actually does, and how to check you are dealing with the real thing. We run this site, so read it as a first-party description and check every claim against the public sources linked below.
Educational page, not financial advice. Nothing here suggests that any token or app will make you money.
Which CoinX do you mean?
Three names are easy to mix up. They are different organisations with different products.
| CoinX (coinx.gspteck.com) | Coinx (coinx.co.id) | CoinEx | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Projects hub for two Android apps and a blog | Indonesian crypto exchange | An international crypto exchange |
| Run by | GSPTeck (giosaia) | PT Kripto Inovasi Nusantara, licensed by Indonesia's OJK on 12 September 2025 | Its own operator; unrelated to either |
| Holds your funds? | No | Yes, as an exchange account | Yes, as an exchange account |
| Where to check | Google Play developer "GSPTeck" | OJK's licensing announcement | Its own website |
If you are looking for the Indonesian exchange, OJK, Indonesia's financial services authority, has a public notice granting PT Kripto Inovasi Nusantara a digital financial asset trader licence. Questions about that exchange belong with that company, not with us. In short: the exchanges hold customer funds, and this site does not.
Who runs coinx.gspteck.com?
GSPTeck, the indie studio of developer giosaia, builds mobile and web apps with Flutter and Firebase. CoinX is the name of its crypto projects.
- Publisher: both apps are listed on Google Play under the developer name GSPTeck, with the package names com.gspteck.coindrop and com.gspteck.swappr.
- Contact: support is gspteck@gmail.com, the address shown on the Swappr pages and the Play listings.
- Policies: one privacy policy covers the apps at gspteck.com/policy, and account and data deletion requests go through gspteck.com/delete-account.
- Parent site: every CoinX page links back to gspteck.com.
GSPTeck is a small studio, not a company with a compliance department. We don't publish user numbers or ratings on this site, and you shouldn't trust any page that quotes them for us.
What CoinDrop and Swappr actually do
CoinDrop is an earn app with airdrop rewards, and Swappr is a coin-swap app. Neither one is a bank, a broker or an investment product.
| CoinDrop | Swappr | |
|---|---|---|
| What you do | Press a button, complete simple tasks, refer friends | Pick a pair, check the estimate, paste your address, send |
| Crypto involved | Rewards relate to the $DROP token on Solana; the official mint address is shown on the CoinDrop page | Swaps between many coins, processed by FixedFloat |
| Plans | Free membership, plus a Premium membership with more rewards | Free to install; contains ads |
| What it does not promise | Any value for the token | Profits, yields or returns |
For a side-by-side, read CoinDrop vs Swappr: earn app or swap app. Free apps still need income, and how free crypto apps make money explains where it comes from for both.
What CoinX will never do
Most "is it legit" searches come after someone is contacted by a stranger using the name. Here is what we never do.
- Ask for your seed phrase or private key, for any reason.
- Message you first about a balance, a withdrawal or a "verification".
- Ask you to deposit crypto to unlock rewards, a payout or an account.
- Offer to recover lost crypto for a fee. Recovery offers after a loss are a known scam pattern, covered in crypto recovery scams and fake exchange support.
- Promise returns, guaranteed earnings or price targets.
How to check you are on the real CoinX
These five checks take about two minutes and rely only on public information.
- Type the domain yourself. The hub is coinx.gspteck.com. Swappr also has swappr.website and CoinDrop has coindrop.website. Every one links back to gspteck.com.
- Check the developer on Google Play. The developer name must be GSPTeck. A copycat can reuse the name and logo, but not the developer account.
- Check the package name. In the Play URL, look for id=com.gspteck.coindrop or id=com.gspteck.swappr. Never install an APK someone sends you.
- Match the token address. For CoinDrop, compare the $DROP mint address with the one on the official CoinDrop page, character by character.
- Use the published contact. Support goes through gspteck@gmail.com. Accounts in a Telegram group or DMs claiming to be "CoinX support" are not us.
The full routine for any crypto app is in 7 checks to verify a crypto app on Google Play.
What to do if someone used the CoinX name
Stop, keep the evidence and report it. Don't send anything more, even if you are promised a refund.
- Stop all payments. Any further "fee" to unlock or recover funds goes to the same people.
- Save the evidence: screenshots, usernames, website addresses and the transaction IDs of anything you sent.
- Report the account on the platform where it contacted you: Telegram, X, Discord or the app store.
- Report the fraud to your national fraud or cybercrime service. In the US that is the FBI's IC3 and the FTC.
- Tell us at gspteck@gmail.com with the domain or account name, so we can warn other readers.
We can't reverse blockchain transactions or get funds back, and nobody who claims to work for us can either.
Honest limits
A legit project can still be the wrong fit for you, so here are the limits.
- Both apps are currently available only for Android, on Google Play.
- The apps show ads; that is part of how they stay free.
- CoinDrop rewards are tied to a token whose value can fall to zero. Swap amounts depend on the market and on network fees.
- Swaps in Swappr are processed by FixedFloat, a third party. Its terms say it may pause an order for anti-money-laundering checks.
- We are a small team. Replies to support emails are not instant.
If those limits are fine for you, start from the app pages: CoinDrop on CoinX or Swappr on CoinX, each with its Google Play link.
